Looking like they stepped straight out of a spread for Teen Vogue, Malia Obama, 16, and Sasha Obama, 14, arrived to London’s Stansted Airport on June 15, rocking the perfect combo of age-appropriate sass and sophistication. Over dad, President Barack Obama‘s presidency, the girls have proved time and time again that they are on their way to becoming future fashion icons. Just take a look at the adorable mini dresses they wore on their way to meet Prince Harry, 30. Talk about #StyleGoals!
Landing in the United Kingdom to help mom, Michelle Obama, 51, promote her Let Girls Learn Initiative (and to meet Harry!), Malia and Sasha unknowingly let their daytime trousseaus becomesources of #OOTD inspiration.
Photogs captured Malia sporting a blue and yellow floral-printed frock: a completely cute but casual choice, giving off considerably strong T. Swift vibes. Little sib, Sasha, donned a darker look in a two-piece, black and white polka-dotted shirt and skirt pairing. Très classy! Both ladies kept things comfy in sensible ballet flats, obvi.
From easy-breezy travel outfits to fancy party duds, the Obama sisters have always maintained a good style game. With designers like Rebecca Taylor, Nanette Lepore and more, clamoring to dress the dynamic duo, it’s clear that Malia and Sasha have access to the best of the best — giving us major wardrobe envy. Fashion industry giants have personally taken interest in the First Daughters — especially Malia. “I’m hard pressed to think of anyone, period, who had such great style potential at [such a young age]. She has all the elements that make a great fashionista,” Lucky magazine executive fashion director, Alexis Bryan Morgan has said. “It’s really exceptional.”
Like, as in cover girl exceptional. “I don’t know how her parents feel about it, but I think it’s going to be the countdown until she has a fashion magazine cover,” Alexis adds. “It’s going to be a huge thing.”
With Malia’s sartorial dressing and Sasha’s cache of incredible coats, we have a feeling we’ll be seeing way more of both girls in the near future of the fashion world!
